Due to the Parasite’s infectious nature, no living organisms could fight in the wars without contributing to the expansion of its army. The Rebirth Coalition members joined their forces and knowledge, creating a new race, able to fight against the imperial dictator at their doorstep.
Mechs were a newly-fledged race, the embodiment of the Rebirth Coalition, and everything it stood for. Machines with no organic parts able to be infested, the Mechs would function as the ultimate fighters against the Parasite. Unable to be turned, harmed, or infected in any way, the Mechs was the Coalition’s strongest weapon and a robust step towards the future. Almost a year into the RC-ISL war and the Oracles unleashed their weapon into the world. In less than a month, the Rebirth Coalition managed to regain its lost grounds and reassert its dominion in the Outer Ring. ISL soldiers were captured and experimented on in the hope of finding a cure, even though the chances of such an achievement were thin and grew thinner after every failed attempt.
As its power grew, the Rebirth Coalition stopped being a simple defense line against the ISL. The more grounds falling under its sphere of influence and the more planets it assimilated into its dominion, both Earthlings and Oracles grew power-hungry, aiming at total control over the Outer Ring. With the belief that primitive systems and primal feelings were the main causes of the ISL rise, the Rebirth Coalition released its manifesto against the old ways, preaching the importance of technological advancements and evolution against the primal nature of each race.
With the help of the Mechs, the ISL was contained in a small part of the Outer Ring, while the rest of the races were forced to bow to the Coalition. And then the Mech Awakening Came.
