Hello, explorer! Exciting months are just around the corner as we approach the Early Access Pre-Alpha this June. There is a lot of cool stuff to unveil and share with the community as we keep working to be as transparent as possible and deliver on our promises. Space survivors coming from II-Vassal-I

In the vast expanse of the Outer and Inner Rings, there are countless worlds and civilizations. Each one unique, shaped by the forces of their environment, their biology, and their technology. But among all of them, there are few that are as enigmatic and mysterious as the Va’ans.

These beings have a history shrouded in secrecy and speculation. Their homeworld, a small, arid planet, was a harsh and unforgiving place. The Va’ans evolved in an environment of constant threat and danger, where survival was never guaranteed.

But their history took a dramatic turn when their binary star and black hole began to deteriorate, putting their entire species at risk of extinction. It was then that the Va’ans embarked on a remarkable feat of technological advancement, developing interstellar spacecraft to evacuate their entire population before their homeworld was destroyed. But how did a species with such a violent culture and small population manage to achieve such a feat?

Whatever the case may be, the Va’ans are now a wandering society, forced to interact with other sentient beings and adapt to new environments. But despite their technological advancements, they remain a species steeped in tradition and a deep reverence for their lost homeworld and the black hole that contains its metaphoric remains.

In this universe full of wonders and mysteries, the Va’ans remain one of the most intriguing and mysterious of all. Are you excited to know more about them?

The expansion of Great Silver City 

Fanet was once a planet deemed unsuitable for settlement or terraforming due to its hostile environment and remote location within the Imdali Nebula. As a result, the planet became a prison world for the most dangerous and delinquent members of society.

However, the prisoners discovered a location where the atmosphere was safe to breathe. Soon, the world’s entire population, including wanderers, survivalists, traders, and others, had assembled around this unique space forming the Great Silver City.

Over time, Great Silver City became a thriving metropolis with its own unique culture and society. It became a hub for trade and commerce, as well as a center for research into the planet’s unique ecosystems.

Soon, you will be able to take part in the city´s ongoing expansion, being able to obtain a piece of terrain in the Land Public Auctions that will start on March 15th. 

Exploit your plot as much as possible, both in-game and off-game, mining materials, building crafting stations, expanding your inventory, and accelerating the daily processes of your adventure inside Outer Ring. 

Joining top Game Developers from around the world at GDC 

The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is an annual event held at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco (United States). It brings together studios, companies, developers, and gamers worldwide for four days, from March 20th to 24th, to discuss and explore the latest innovative ideas driving the videogame industry.

Maniac Panda Games, the video game studio behind Outer Ring, will be present in both the networking and exhibition zones and attending conferences to connect with old friends, make new contacts, and continue learning and interacting with the industry.

The team is particularly excited to spend time with other blockchain technology builders at this year’s event. Projects such as Gala Games, Polygon, Splinterlands, UpLand, Chainlink, and the Blockchain Game Alliance will be attending from the Web3 ecosystem.

News coming from the game design team

Building an MMORPG is the biggest challenge game developers can face. We must build great game mechanics and a massive universe full of narrative and support massive multiplayer gameplay with a robust infrastructure that allows interaction with the blockchain and the free flow of tokenized assets.

As the team keeps incorporating new talent, we are happy to crown some big milestones:

• The species redesign has been completed and will soon see the light.
• Multiplayer battles and some weapons mechanics are already being tested, along with some of the character animations and the map assets’ performance.
• Also, our Narrative Designer, Adam Bullied, is expanding the ideas from the Outer Ring Saga novel and bringing them thousands of years ahead to the game´s timeline. 

We are getting work done at speed-light and soon you see the results. Will you travel this journey along us?
